portable 2 burner stove top

The 2 burner stove top insert was designed to be fitted into the bench top, I wanted something that I could use inside the camper and outside if the weather is nice, I made a plywood frame, then stained and clear laqured it, added a piezo igniter and now it works well.

the plan is to make something like this, with a lower door as well.

I managed to score a second hand tent like this one.

originally my camper would have looked like this, when I got it the tent was mouldy and ripped to shreds, not worth saving.

Goodies

managed to score some goodies for the van

A stainless steel two burner gas insert that was missing some bolts and knobs, managed to find some stuff that fits.

An 82 litre water tank, its got a small hole in the top, the good thing is I can weld plastic.

kitchen

The kitchen presents a challenge, everything has to fit under the slide out beds so the kitchen had to be made in 3 parts, I needed to make some boxes with draws in them so I started with this old chest of draws.











after some jigsaw cutting I ended up with this.















and it all pulls aprt and sits on the floor for travelling










I am making a benchtop out of malamine that will extend 350mm out from the left hand side to provide room for a 2 burner gas stove.

Layout

The original layout was ok but having access to some caravan and motorhome parts meant I had to get creative.

Guting it

started by emptying the body out, the fibreglass body and ply floor are ok.
